Flowers for You!

Hi everyone!

This is a view from right inside my store, in case you're wondering.  My store goes way back, very long with a lot of room for wonderful items!

I just wanted to check in very quickly this Friday afternoon.  I've been so busy at the store that I haven't had the time I need to update my blog.  I did want to send out some happy flower wishes for all of you though from my store.

Heads Up

An Evening with Fifi O'Neill at Uniquely Chic

Hi everyone!

Today, I am sharing photos of the wonderful book signing of Romantic Prairie Style with Fifi O'Neill at my store, Uniquely Chic Floral and Home.  

It was a beautiful event filled with lovely people that attended to see Fifi and have their books signed by the author of Romantic Prairie Style... the best selling book, I may add!

Here is Fifi signing Debbie's (shabbydeb) book... a book that traveled all the way from Oklahoma to this event, just so dear Fifi could sign it.  The whole group said special wishes over this traveling book of Debbie's that evening! See how much people love her and her style from all over the world!



I have to tell you what a great time I had getting the store ready for Fifi to visit with us in Healdsburg.  Just a few days before the event, I found a beautiful, very large French table with the loveliest bistro chairs with a well worn patina.  I think it was just meant to be!  Fifi is sitting at one of the French tables above, don't you love it's color and wear?

I purchased many beautiful one of a kind pieces especially to show at this event.  The special evening where people traveled near and far but most importantly, one that Fifi's Romantic Prairie Style fans wouldn't let wild horses keep them away from which means a lot to me.

here at Uniquely Chic... always love chatting with her & her husband too!

We all shared our love of Fifi and her style and most of all,

Romantic Prairie Style

You notice that's me again?  So fun was this event to plan for and attend.  All the hard work was definitely worth it!

We were all so excited that we forgot to take photos of the French champagne and food that was so delicious at the event and now wish, we would have taken photos of every person that asked Fifi to sign their book... you learn things as you go!  Please Note:  All photos here courtesy of Tracie, My Petite Maison  Thank you, Tracie for taking all photos for me for this wonderful event.

It was so special meeting with Fifi and many bloggers, customers and fellow shop owners here that evening.  I especially would like to thank Catharyn Lely, Designer, for her expertise for this dream event.

Such a wonderful event...  Can't wait to post a lot more but wanted to get this photo up of Fifi signing Shabbydeb's book from the event.  Debbie sent her book all the way from Oklahoma to have Fifi sign and we had friends travel hours from Northern California...

Just a quick reminder....

FIFI O'Neill will be at Uniquely Chic Floral & Home tomorrow, Wednesday, July 13th.  Of course, this is all

about Romantic Prairie Style!  Fifi will be here to sign her best selling book.

The event begins at 5:00 p.m. and continues until 7:00 p.m.

I probably will not have a chance to post until after the event.  Hope to see you there!!!

Fifi will be here in ONE week!

A quick post as we're getting the very last minute beautiful bits, pieces and lovely details at the store here... so exciting!

Yes... it's only ONE week until Fifi arrives here in Healdsburg!!

I'm looking forward to welcoming each and every one to the signing of Romantic Prairie Style by none other than Fifi O'Neill!

The signing starts at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13th and runs through 7:00 p.m.  Thank you, Kerrie for asking about the book, Romantic Prairie Style... yes, we'll have books available for purchase at the event that you can ask beautiful Fifi to sign!


Also, it is fine for readers to bring their books already purchased and ask Fifi to sign as well.  The point here is to JUST HAVE TONS of FUN with each other and share in our love of the Romantic Prairie Lifestyle created by Fifi!!!

Shopping Antiques by the Bay

I was so happy to go to the Sunday event, Antiques by the Bay last Sunday.  I want to share some photos with you of my trip.

I needed a day away from the shop after working a very large wedding during that week.  The flowers turned out beautifully for the wedding, if I say so myself, but I just needed a little bit of time to recharge myself and get out and move around outside hunting for great finds.  Very lucky for me, my friend, Tracie at My Petite Maison was planning to go and I was able to go along with her and her husband who kindly watched our flea market carts the whole time we were there and put ALL our goods in the car.  We didn't have to watch our loot, just walk or run on and find more treasures!

The whole blog issue is new to me, so please be patient with me.  I think for now, I'm just going to post a few photos so you can see some great booths.  I enjoy looking at photos myself, rather than read tons of text and hope you feel the same!  So, here we go:  Alameda, Antiques by the Bay, an event not to be missed!

I loved this old blue door and the iron piece.   This dealer had so much coral around their booth, huge pieces of it everywhere, it was really beautiful.

A pretty dresser and more coral and lots of shells.

I couldn't decide about this chandelier, whether to bring it back or not. 
It was huge and this photo really doesn't do it justice.

It had a wonderful patina to it and the price wasn't bad at all.  Can you tell,

I'm still thinking about it?

Another chandelier, another dealer.  I loved this one too... so many choices!

I found many things at this booth.  One of my many favorites, there were two great dealers together,

I love it when that happens and the booths just flow together.

A great piece, came home with me!

This statue was a hit and the color of the shutters.  Beautiful set-up for sure and one I will look for again.  I think this booth was one of mine and Tracie's favorites too.

This little chair and the laundry hamper (on wheels) at the bottom caught my eye.  I brought many

things home from this friendly lady, Irma of Simply I. Molina.  She's a Healdsburg resident too, so good to see familiar faces at this event!

Vintage oil painting of Paris, one of the first items we came upon.  It called from across the parking area.

Loved this old frame, caught our eye too from across another row and had to run over and see their goods.

Don't you love this idea, beautiful frame with chicken wire?  Going to try in the store.  Loved their booth, it was beautiful!

All kinds of ribbons and trims to suit any taste!

Tracie took these photos of me looking for goods. Beautiful items at this booth too.  So many choices!  It was such a beautiful day, not too hot.  Sweaters in the morning and then warmed up.  Perfect in every way.  Look at these huge French flags and beautiful Jesus statue.

And for very last:  One of my favorite finds, this vintage, worn mirror.  It has a perfect patina and the edges are worn just perfectly.  Couldn't wait to get it home!
